  • This is definitely a place to see from afar, and not to spend your money to go inside. For the three of us, myself and my parents, it was $75: $3 for parking and $24 a person to go in. Off the bat, that's a steep price to get into a tiny little place. Even the ROM was cheaper than that and I had more fun there. None of the employees seemed to want to be there (I went to the gift shop and there were two people at registers, one handling the line, and the other sitting there on her phone and not helping at all). The house is barely lavish and not really very castle-esque. Most of the rooms just look like normal rooms with nothing fancy in them. Oh my, the bathroom has a shower...and a toilet! Everything was so boring in there too. There's an audio tour you can take, if you want to know about the history of every individual item in the house, rather than the importance of the rooms and the castle itself, such as a five minute description of the pool table in the one room. Spoiler alert, the castle wasn't important. It was made by a rich guy to show he's rich, he then went broke, then made it a tourist attraction. If you looked in the dictionary for tourist trap, it would have a picture of Casa Loma in it. If you have to see it, walk up to the front and take a picture, because that's honestly the most enjoyment you're going to get out of this place.
