  • The best resort in Vegas. No question. I usually stay at Cosmopolitan since I like the party atmosphere, but this past weekend the rates were extremely high since the NAB conference was in town. So I decided to stay at Encore instead. After checking-in, I took the elevator to my panoramic view king resort suite. The room was in great condition, spacious, with an amazing view of the strip. Nothing was worn down. So between the Wynn/Encore resort, there really isn't anything cheap here. So if you are traveling on a budget, this resort probably isn't for you. Or make frequent runs across the strip to the Fashion Show Mall to eat and shop. I ate at Jardin for breakfast and dinner, and at Tableau for breakfast while there. Food and service was excellent. Being a fitness junkie, I thoroughly enjoyed the fitness center. It had everything I needed. They also provide water (room temperature and chilled), and towels (dry and wet), plus fruit (apples, bananas). The smoke in the casino was not too bad either. I hate going to MGM sometimes and walking through the casino because I end up wheezing and coughing with all the smoke build up. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay here. I will probably stay here over Cosmo again next time I'm in town.
