I always come to Lappert's after a bowl of Sai-Min from the Hawaiian restaurant across the way. It's been here for a few years, I believe.
The ladies at the front are usually quick and kind, and the amount you get is awesome for the prices inside of a casino. The chocolate is good, but the green tea is by far the only reason I walk in. The actual flavor is more focused around the tea than the sugar. And it's absolutely wonderful. Possibly my favorite and most natural tasting green tea ice cream I've come across in Vegas. However, there are other ice cream shoppes around town I'd prefer should I not be in the mood for green tea.
Cones are great. Bowls are okay, also. I've never tried anything other than the ice cream, nor have I tried the coffee or donuts (not a huge fan).
I've never seen them serve without gloves on. Place is old, but generally clean. It's either crowded or eerily quiet. There are a few seats in the small area to sit and enjoy, but it'd be wise just to continue walking rather than squeeze in with other customers.
I'd be willing to come here if I happen to be downtown and had a green tea craving. Definitely an old favorite.
