| - Sadly, I can definitely say we weren't impressed. I made our reservation on Open Table for 6:30 on a Thursday. I requested a booth for date night with my Wife. We were hoping to have a quiet dinner in what we thought was an upscale venue where clients would be dressed accordingly. The hostess seated us between two other tables which were no more than maybe 30 inches away. It wasn't a booth at all but rather booth like upholstery on a bench up against the wall that had 3 tables total. I guess to her that was a booth. There were no booths, at least where we were. Absolutely no privacy. As far as the clientele being dressed accordingly, lets just say shorts and tennis shoes abounded throughout. My Wife and I like to dress nice for dinner and we were for the most part overdressed. Let's move on to the insane noise level. Who has a radio playing at a self titled upscale venue????? Billy Joel was singing "Piano Man" and quite frankly for me to hear it having spent my entire adult life around commercial aircraft, it has to be REAL loud...it was. People were trying to talk over it and it was chaotic. My Wife couldn't hear our server yet when it's quiet, she can hear my beard growing. He had to repeat often. On to the food. We both ordered the 8oz Filet, Mac and Cheese and Creamy Potatoes as our shared sides. My Filet was without a doubt, in my top ten, served piping hot and kept hot on a heated plate, AWESOME. My Wife's, a completely different story. I noted she was not eating after just a couple of bites, I asked her why and she said "Try it" I did, but I don't know what happened to it or if it accidentally touched something else while it was cooking but it was flat nasty. $50 and two bites and that's all she wrote. The Mac and Cheese was simply some pasta with cheese baked onto it. Very dry, no creamy melted cheese, just dry cheese flavored pasta. The "Creamy Potatoes were delicious, no complaints there. We were seriously just going to leave when I finished my Dinner (She quit eating her steak altogether) as it was so incredibly loud and chaotic we just had had enough, but having vested so much effort coming to this place, we agreed to skip dessert and decided instead to have coffee. It was delicious, loved it, both of us. We didn't tell our waiter about her steak as we didn't want to prolong our visit any more than we had to as it was so loud. So........to summarize, it took me (yes me) an hour to iron my clothes to look nice for my Wife, an hour one way travel time to dine at an insanely loud venue. 2 drinks, 2 Filet's, 2 sides and 2 coffee's $202. Honestly the best part of this experience is when we left the restaurant and waited outside in the peace and quiet while the Valet retrieved our car.
For those of you that might be inclined to say this venue has booth seating...
Definition: A seating area in a restaurant with a table and seats whose HIGH BACKS serve as partitions.....Google it.
Disappointing
