Made an appt for an examination. Over the next few days these folks called me twice to verify that I would be on time. Today I drove the 30 minutes to their office and I arrived 5 minutes early. The waiting area was packed. While I was checking in, patients were complaining that they had been waiting for an hour and a half. The receptionist explained to them that their computer system that was used to verify insurance coverage was down, and the insurance companies weren't calling back in a timely manner when they were telephoned to verify coverage. So therefore "it was the insurance company's fault". As a NEW patient I was surprised that they hadn't given me a bunch of forms to fill out while I was waiting. After 15 minutes, it became clear to me that I too would likely be waiting at least a couple of hours. When I decided to leave, I was going to notify the receptionist, but I would have had to stand in line to do so. These people need to realize that the Patient's time is valuable too (Not just the doctor's time). My first impression of this place is terrible, I'm going to find someone else.
