I moved from Syracuse, NY to Stateville, NC. They sent a truck that was ALREADY full. It had about 5 ft of space on the back of the truck. They took my 2300 sqft house of furniture and dismantled almost everything but the VCR. They stuff that truck so tight half my stuff was broken. They filled the cab of the truck so I can't imagine how the driver could operate the controls. When they delivered it to my house in Statesville, they just dropped it all off and told me I needed to assemble it, which took my over 3 weeks. When I complained they said file a claim for anything that was actually damaged. But Half the hardware to put things back together were lost. It was a disaster. And there was no pay out on the claim. They said they couldn't pay if I couldn't show stuff was actually broken, dispite the actually bill of lading showed a table and 2 dressers were broken in transit. Absolutely awful company ! And I have mover 5 times with other companies... My advice, if they are going to move you, refuse them, or refuse to let them dismantle anything !! They are getting top dollar, they can make space for your stuff.
