  • I'll be honest, my heart was set on buying my new mattress set at Leon's. You see, when I lived in Toronto, I furnished my entire condo with beautiful furniture from Leon's and I was hoping to do the same here in Calgary. Things were looking real good when we met with Murray, a fantastic sales person in the bedding boutique of the store. The mattresses looked great, the service was fantastic and they had a big boxing day sale to boot. Things started to go downhill however when we learned about a couple of Leon's policies: - There is a delivery charge. The delivery charge can be waived if you purchase a mattress cover, which costs around $80. - When the delivery people arrive, they WILL NOT take away the old mattresses with them. Both of these policies were enough for me to make an about turn and march right out of the store. Yes their furniture is amazing, yes the service is wonderful and yes the store rocks my socks. But let's be honest, the convenience of not being stranded with having to figure out how to move an old mattress set out of my condo, all by myself, takes the cake!
