| - I've struggled to find a nail salon in Montreal that really knows what they are doing. In terms of the quality of the work at Ongles Pro, you'll leave with pretty nice nails.
As for your experience in the salon, you can expect your "typical" narrow nail salon with fluorescent lights. Meaning, I wouldn't come here if you're looking for ambiance. Also, prepare for quite a chemical smell.
Atmosphere aside, the service is friendly (though they don't speak French and only barely speak English). I've been to this place twice, which means I felt that I left with my value at 45$ for a shellac pedicure.
Unfortunately, with my second experience (done by the same girl) she accidentally cut me and left me with a bleeding toe. She was however, very apologetic about it. I didn't get any sort of discount, though, I'll admit, I didn't give the 5 dollar tip I gave last time.
All in all, It's not a bad place, though, my throbbing bandaged toe has me feeling like I won't be back.
I'm giving 3 stars because of the smell, the atmosphere, and the cut toe. If one of those weren't there, I would maybe say 3.5 or 4.
I wouldn't say not to come here, these are just a few things to consider.
