  • I rarely post any reviews however, I was so appalled at my experience with this business I had to do my due diligence as a consumer and provide future customers a fair warning. My wife owns a 2010 Ford Fusion which has been an excellent vehicle. Like most aging cars little fixes arise here and there. Despite my insistence to my wife to take the car to a local shop she felt taking the car to the dealership (Berge) would ensure its proper maintenance and upkeep. After numerous dealings with the dealership reference maintenance and their high costs in comparison to local shops I always left feeling like we got "hustled." The interactions with the service staff is limited to "pull up here", "name", and "go wait over there." You feel as if you're at the mercy of there service. You aptly wait for there assessment and usually feel as if you had no choice on "get this fixed, it's due." Now recently the car had a computer issue, most notable the ETB which is documented quite well on the Internet. Basically as your driving down the highway your vehicle just loses power to accelerate...yeah I said that right...you just lost accelerating power. In fact Ford acknowledges the issue on its website and rather than calling it a "recall" calls it "customer satisfaction program." Furthermore in researching the issue Ford has paid and covered these repairs for other vehicles to include 2010 Ford Fusions (our car). So we contacted Ford via their 1-800 number and they seemed concerned and contacted Berg to "open up a case file" to assist in paying for the repair. Long story short my wife had dropped her car off with Berge for repairs (it's been about 2 weeks). From calling the customer service line with Ford to the dealership itself was indeed a case of giving us the runaround. Concluding our adventure with this dealership they called just yesterday stating that Ford wouldn't cover the cost (Despite us speaking to numerous reps authorizing insisting Ford would cover this) but, they (Berge) felt so strongly (sarcasm) to do the right thing they would take a $100 bucks off! WELL THANK YOU BERGE!!! (COMPLETE SARCASM) The repair itself is still costly but at this point my wife and I are completely fed up with the lack of communication, red tape, and complete lack of integrity by this dealership. We will pick up our car, pay, and be done with this dealership and maybe Ford. Which is sad because my wife loves her car and I myself really like Ford trucks, but this...this was pretty bad.
