  • I felt that I needed to create a Yelp account to voice my strong disappointment in regards to Skyline and to also serve as a warning for others. First and foremost, I've been a long time customer at Skyline and it's really frustrating that I've recently started to feel that it's time for me to find another nail salon. When I make appointments to get my mani or pedi done by a specific nail technician, there's a reason why I want THAT specific nail technician to do my nails. So I'm questioning, if I made an appointment with my nail technician, why is it that when I come back to get my nails done, it is NOT the nail tech that I had requested? After waiting over half an hour, I still was not able to get the nail tech I requested and that's when Phi attempted to apologize and give me excuses on why the nail tech I wanted wasn't able to do my nails despite having an appointment with me. Why did I feel like they were excuses? This has NEVER happened this OFTEN previously and not just me, it would appear that my one friend was having the same issue where she's unable to get the nail tech that she had requested to do her nails. Once or twice, I can understand, but having it happen a few times and not just me, it really seems like excuses. Especially when I asked my nail tech if she knew that I had an appointment with her, she informed me with shock that none of the three bosses had informed her of my appointment with her. Isn't it standard procedures that the employees are informed of their appointments in order to prepare for their customers? Phi did an ok job with my nails, but at the end of the day, I'm disappointed that my appointment wasn't what I wanted. People make appointments with their nail techs for a reason, Phi or whoever that books appointments should NOT book appointments if they CANNOT fulfill it PERIOD. In the beginning, I loved that I was treated with importance as a customer should be treated; because no customers equals no business equals NO MONEY. As time went on, my mani/pedis became more and more rushed. What used to be a half hour pedicure became a rushed 10-15 minute pedicure. If I wanted a rushed and sloppy job, I mind as well save my money and do it myself instead. Lastly, when I had other nail techs do my nails, it really felt like they were mostly fishing for tips from me. Testing it once, I tipped $5 instead of the usual $20 and the lady's attitude changed visibly. I knew some Vietnamese terms and phrases, so I was not surprised the nail tech talked badly and gossiped about me to her other co workers. Regardless, it is still sad that 90% of the employees/bosses would talk in Vietnamese amongst themselves thinking that all customers wouldn't understand if they were bad mouthing the customers. If my nail tech ever go to a different salon, I will definitely follow, but unfortunately I no longer feel comfortable coming back to Skyline and wasting my money. If they do not appreciate me and my business, then I will bring my business somewhere else that will treat me the way I deserve.
