  • I rate it 4 stars due to the novel items - french toast, tiramisu, cookie dough cake pops, a variety of cupcakes, stuff like root beer, maple cream, and champagne truffles, and a variety of chocolate-doused items - but the overall experience I had came closer to a 3.5. The cake pops are incredibly soft inside and the fillings inside of the truffles have a decent amount of flavor and good texture, but to be honest the chocolate coatings aren't particularly amazing for a company that specializes in chocolate covered sweets. For some reason they tasted slightly stale, but since I visited on a Friday, and they aren't open on Sundays, perhaps the items had to sit throughout the whole week until a fresh batch would be made for Monday morning. I'll have to visit on a day earlier in the week next time. I do, however, want to warn people to watch out for the pricing. I collected a few malt balls that were $16.99/lb from the bulk jars on the side in a separate bag while buying the chocolate-covered sweets that were behind the glass case (that were $20.99/lb). It didn't occur to me until I was out of the store that I was charged the same $20.99/lb price for everything. That particular worker might have just been new and unaware of the separate pricing, but when I went back in and inquired about the separate pricing, she stared at me and coolly told me that EVERYTHING was $20.99/lb until I repeated that the malt balls were labeled differently. But then she called another woman over (Valerie, I think her name was?) who very efficiently refunded me $4 for the discrepancy although I bought less than a pound overall. Overall, as long as you take note of the labeled prices, everything should go smoothly!
