| - I have been living in Las Vegas for 10 yrs, and have yet to find a hair colorist/stylist with whom I am completely happy with. I have been to the best that Las Vegas has to offer. I have found if someone has done fantastic work, then for some reason as great as it is one time, the next will be horrendous. It's been so bad at times, that I have actually flown back to NYC ( where I'm from) to have my hair done. So am I a bit crazy? Yes. But I know what I like, I know what I want, and although I don't expect to find exactly what I had in NYC, I do expect consistency. After using someone here for quite a while ( again, with the hit and miss factor), the last time he had done my hair, it was so bad that I had to look around once again for another hairdresser. This was two weeks after having my hair cut/colored. I found Paul Juma, and decided to give him a try. What a lovely, lovely man. He took a ton of time to hear what I was saying, and I know that its definitely not easy to fix someone else's mistakes. But I have to say he really did such a nice job on my hair color (I'm naturally a very dark brunette that wears my hair very light blonde). I didn't want to give a review after my first appointment, as I know it wouldn't be fair given the fact that he had to fix the color and make sure my hair didn't fall out in the process. I just went back yesterday and once again Paul took the time to hear what I was happy or unhappy with. My hair color came out gorgeous! He gave me a really cute haircut. For some reason, I'm really confident that Paul's work will continue to be consistent. Before I would go way longer than necessary for my appt, dreading that the color or cut wouldn't be right. I don't feel that way any more. The other thing that I noticed and appreciated was that the color didn't fade like others have done in the past, and it was 8 weeks since my last appt. The Salon is lovely, but not stuffy. The support staff are all very nice and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you are a local, make sure you ask for the locals discount. As far as price is concerned, is it more expensive than your local hair salon? Yes, it is. But compared to NYC prices, for me its reasonable. If you too, have had a problem finding a fantastic colorist, RUN, do not wait, and give Paul a try. You will find a consummate Professional that is a genuinely kind and caring gentle man.
