  • I received a Groupon for a 90 min massage and set my appointment with Michelle. I got there to fill out a simple, one page intake form at 4:55. I didn't get called in until about 5:05. She asked what I wanted from this massage and I told her that I have been hiking and would love extra time on my legs. Pretty much legs, shoulders and back. The room was dim and the blanket over my was a little too warm for my preference, but it was fine overall. When I finished changing and ready to start the massage it was nearly 5:10. The massage started off fine and she asked about the pressure once while she was working on my back. The extra time on my back was done but by the time we got to my legs it was almost as if she was lathering oil on them. She didn't ask about the pressure nor did she spend extra time on them. It felt like an average routine done on legs. She spent extra time on my neck in which I didn't even ask for. In addition, she also used an excessive amount of oil on me. Too much for my liking, I got some on my hair from her working on my neck. I did like that she spent some time on my feet and put hot towels on them to get the oils off. By the time the session was over it was about 6:20. I remember checking my phone to see how long they would realistically give me since it was a Groupon. I got dressed and tipped her. She asked how I liked the work done on my neck and I said, "it was fine but I was really hoping to have had more time on my legs." Michelle disregarded it saying, "was I able to help you relax?" Or something along those lines. By this time, I was just glad it was over. Overall, it was a bit relaxing, but you get what you buy from Groupon. I'm lucky that it was a gift because I don't think I would ever pay full price for another massage like that. Groupon advertises this 90 minute massage when it was about 70-75 mins. It would have been a better experience (even though she cut my time) if she listened to my needs.
