  • I showed up after lunch around 2pm as I am a new person in town and trying to find a local watering hole that wasn't a chain restaurant. I always like to help owners trying to live the American dream. They had Miller lite on Happy Hour special (Yuk), but the dozen or so regulars seemed to be putting them down like water. I did spy some whiskey on the shelf, but another let down as they do not have a big bourbon selection. The bartender said that they don't have my favorite, Knob Creek, just Makers Mark so I got that... $4.50 with ice. As for food, I posted a picture of their very limited bar menu, I guess they want to keep overhead costs low, so they can spend it on Miller. The burger I ate was decent, but, you could have grilled one at home for much cheaper, no flavor just meat and cheese. They must not have a fryer as they give you an actual bag of lays chips with your burger. When it said burger and chips I figured it didn't mean french fries like it does in England, but thought maybe they make their own. I was wrong, does that also mean they bake their wings instead of frying them? Being from NY and a stones throw from Buffalo, where the Buffalo Chicken Wing was invented, I am really disappointed...another let down. Someone mentioned that it's a local "Biker" bar, I don't see how that is possible if they post a huge sign that says "No Cuts, No Colors" and after reading some of the posts about VFW riders being turned away for wearing their jackets I just don't see many bikers coming here. Also how can one be a biker bar and not have a bigger whiskey selection? Lastly, as always you can tell a lot about a place by a few things; greeted upon entering? Yes, but locals looked at me like I was Van Helsing coming to slay the dreaded Dracula. Cleanliness of the bar area and tables, that was a positive. Cleanliness of the bathroom, eh...it could use some paint and a better floor, at least it didn't smell like urine or feces. They do have a lot of TV'S , 3 regulation size pool tables, Mega Touch game, and Digital Jukebox...maybe I would give them another try, but I won't be eating any food as I make better stuff at home.
