If you have time to wait, or get up early everyday then sure head over to Snooze. But, if you like to enjoy brunch on the weekend or are in a hurry, I recommend some other place. The wait time here is sometimes unruly. I can understand a brunch/lunch rush but being quoted over an hour seems a little ridiculous.
Their breakfast is decent. It isn't something I will wait an hour and a half to eat but if it looks like there may be enough seating for them to seat me I will head in. It doesn't mean because there is open seating that they will seat you, which I never understand. I have been here countless times now and have experienced the issue of time and seating nearly every single time. I really wanted to love the place, I really did.
Their Mmm Mmm Mimosa with pomegrante liquor is pretty good. I tried their spicy Bloody Mary and their Gazpacho Bloody Mary and was unimpressed by both. I don't know if it is their mix or their bartender but it has been decided this is not a place for me to get Bloody Mary's.
On the last trip I had the Benny Goodman Benedict, "Lox style" salmon and tiny crostini rye toasty pucks. I must have missed the "style" portion of the description and could be wrong but I thought Lox were a salt or sugar cured salmon? Not cooked but cured giving it that smoked salmon textural likeness? I could be wrong but this to me was just cooked salmon, not lox. It was alright....
I had previously had their duo combo Benedict and at the time I believe they may have had a corned beef hash Benedict which I no longer see and the Bella Bella Benny. I was far more impressed with those two than the Benny Goodman "lox" style breakie I had.
The kid had the pineapple upside down french toast and loved it! Almost ate all of it. Would be stoked if I offered the spot up to him again....
I don't know, I think this just isn't my favorite spot to grab breakfast or brunch. Maybe you will feel differently about it? It was loud, the staff was reasonable after being seated it's just too much fluff...
