| - I was really excited to try this place. People recommended me to try Ramen Sora. After reading it's reviews, I decided to give it a go. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. Maybe I am biased because I tried Monta Chaya first. I'm not sure. I ordered the miso Ramen with extra chashu pork. I asked if they can sear the pork, but she said no and that it would be an extra $4.00 to do so. At Monta, they will do it if you wanted it seared. Also, we asked for soy sauce because my friend ordered the chashu pork bowl, and the waitress said they didn't have soy sauce. That's unusual for an Asian venue. On a good note, I got my meal fairly quickly so that was good. I'm not sure if it's common or not, but my chashu was partially cold as if it had just come out of the fridge. Eventually it got warmed because of the broth. The bamboo shoots tasted weird to me...What I did like was the broth. Miso broth was good, but by my tastes, it didn't taste better than the tonkatsu-shoyu broth at Monta Chaya. Overall, it was a decent meal.
