Brief Overview:
The Goodwill is a great place to find discounted clothing and other items for your wardrobe, parties, or social functions. Their price is hard to beat.
Pros:
- Macklemore made a Thrift Store song and mentioned Goodwill (you know I had to put this in here)
- Fair prices for gently used clothing, electronics, and shoes
- I bought a few things from here and have been satisfied (namely, some khaki pants that were $7 and normally cost $20+)
- You can donate your clothes for a tax write off (although I just give them everything since it's more hassle to itemize everything)
Cons:
- Limited selection of clothing (doesn't have all the sizes I'm looking for when it comes to a specific item). I was looking for some white shoes for a Vegas Young Professional Mixer and didn't find what I was looking for (to be expected at a Goodwill I guess).
Final Verdict:
I go here anytime I have a wardrobe need and don't mind paying a lower price for a gently used hand me down. I'm not picky. As long as it looks new and has a good price, I'll buy it (not big into brand names or status).
