Went there last night for the Viva PHX festival. I'm not from the area (actually from Dallas), so I've never been to this venue before. It has a nice set up, and it is a big space, but I wasn't completely sold on it. There were poles that blocked your view if standing in certain spots. I like to stand in a certain spot when I go to show, and the pole would have blocked my view if I stood there. There's a venue in Dallas that is like this, but I adore the venue so I don't find it to be that off-putting. I bet if I was a regular here too I'd find it to be fine.
The stage was pretty nice. I was able to see my favorite artist when I moved. Fun environment. Waters were cheap which is a plus. Staff was friendly. But the venue itself felt overcrowded, not my jam. Yes, it was big... But it was too packed. I think on a normal night though, it'd be good so I'd give it 4 stars since this was a non normal experience.
