  • Second time here. This is always a goto spot for me when visiting family in the surrounding area. Depending on the time of year their prices are great and the location is just off I-77. They're minutes away from Carolina Place mall and other local gems. You have to try Cafe South, just next door, on your visit. Get the fried chicken. This place is always clean and the staff is super friendly. They really do their best to make your stay enjoyable. Fresh, individually wrapped apples in the lobby, where they have ample seating for lounging or breakfast. They'll even allow you to borrow a wine opener. They have a small bar, bistro, snack and drink market, and a business center. If all the carts are taken, just ask for one and they'll get you one. There are no individual microwaves in the room but you are more than welcome to use the one downstairs in the the breakfast area, which is also still stocked with paper plates and utensils after breakfast. I love the king non-smoking on the high floor. Although the room is all in one. There is a half wall partition separating the bed area from the living area. The TV is in the center and can be swiveled left or right. The room has ironing essentials, a coffee maker, and fridge which is set to low upon check-in to conserve energy so you'll have to turn it up and wait for it to get cold. Quiet time begins around 10:30p and apparently this is a pet friendly hotel? I must have missed that the past two times I've been here. This time, a lady brought her dog to breakfast. (O_o) At breakfast, don't drink the water..gross. Had a weird taste...I did let management know so hopefully they get the pipes/filter checked. You'll see sausage, oatmeal with ALL the fixings, and four types of bread for a toaster oven. There is also yogurt, boiled eggs, and juice (Orange and Apple). Scrambled eggs are there too, but they might be powdered? Not sure, many people ate them up but I didn't like them, perhaps because I let them sit and get cold as I was eating my yummy pancakes. There is also fresh whole fruit, a bowl of mixed fruit, and cereal for which they do serve almond milk. Also, outdoor heated pool closes around 10. You'll also need to use your keycard if using the back door at all hours.
