| - A coworker of my husband's recommended this place. We took our van in on 6/22 because the a/c stopped working. They called & said that the whole system was bad & it would be a $1,600 fix. We didn't have much of a choice in June in the 120* heat w/5 kids so we told them to fix it. We picked it up just after closing that day & it didn't seem very cold. Left the next day to do errands w/my kids & it was not cool at all. My husband was at work & called them to let them know. Dominic said to bring it in. Dominic was extremely nice, courteous, and accommodating when I got there! Since they were closing in just over 2 hours, he said they were going to pay for a rental car from Enterprise for us. Super nice of him! A very thin girl w/baggy clothes who worked there named Kylie I believe was going to drive myself & 3 of my kids I had w/me (one of them a 4 month old infant) to Enterprise. Got all of the kids, stuff, & carseat together, went to get in Kylie's car & was almost knocked over by a very strong smell of cigarettes. I very nicely told her I couldn't take my infant in the car as second hand smoke is a horrible health hazard for her. She was very obviously extremely offended by this & her demeanor towards me changed. She was rude and did nothing to cover it. Really? Most people don't like the stink of cigarette smoke. I have an infant, why would I subject her to health problems? I brought all of our stuff back in and told Dominic the reason I wouldn't be getting in her vehicle. Enterprise pulled up with the rental car right after that so I again brought all of our stuff outside to get into the rental car. Their rental car smelled like cigarette smoke too!! This wasn't Firestone's fault, but at this point I was completely 100% fed up. It's insanely hot out, I've gone outside and back in several times with 3 kids including an infant and all of their stuff, my baby is getting hungry and grumpy. I brought all of our stuff back in, Kylie opened the door to the shop area & told Dominic in a very frustrated & annoyed tone that I wasn't going to Enterprise and was going to leave w/my van. He came back & I explained what occurred. They had already taken the van back so they examined it while I waited & told me the expansion valve they had just replaced the day prior was leaking & needed to be replaced & would take 2.5 hrs. I left and we drove it over the next morning at 9am. It wasn't done until after 4pm. So not only was our a/c not fixed correctly the first time after $1,600 worth of work, it took 3 full days to get it working correctly, leaving me unable to do any errands or leave the house, the girl at the shop was really rude, and a 2.5 hour fix turned into a 7+ hour fix. This is completely unacceptable. I won't be back, and I will most definitely be telling friends and family to avoid taking their vehicles here.
