| - I've brought my pup here to get his second set of shots, as well as rabies vaccination, and a few others. Each time I have brought him, my significant other and I have had not the best experience. Each visit felt as if the only thing they wanted was money. They recommend each and every shot in the world! Stating if he did not have it, he will get sick and die. And believe me, I'm all for getting my pup vaccinated, whatever it is to keep him healthy! Yet, I don't believe it's necessary to bring him every other week for a few vaccines.
My pup is in training classes as I write this. Keep in mind he is a Husky/Akita. As Huskies personalities are known to be, very playful and outgoing. The doctor did not like it. She was frightened of him. I understand he's big for his age, but as a "regular" vet who sees pets every day. She exaggerated to the max "hold the dog back" "don't let him lick me" "have you thought of training this dog?" The vet hardly spoke to us as it was. She stated he should get more vaccines, talked down about my dog, proceeded with the shot and said thanks, you can pay in the front! In and out within 5 minutes. She simply didn't care or make any conversation with us. It was a horrible experience. The environment throughout the office is terrible. It's as if dogs are brought here to be put to sleep. The entire staff was melancholy and made the entire experience for my dog and I so sad.
My pup is eight months and weighs around 70 lbs. He is big but the problem is, this vet sees animals each day. Big and little. He is a happy and nice dog, just wants to play and love on everyone. Didn't bite or attempt to bite anyone, it was crazy to see a veterinarian like this.
I recommend doing your research on different veterinarian offices before making an appointment here. This place overall was very old school and sad. I'm sorry, but we will not be returning due to the staff, the vet, and environment. I really gave this place chance after chance, "hopefully it'll be a different experience next time in", but it's been the same. Bummer!
