So today I was very excited to take my puppy for her first hair cut at petco. When we first walked in we were addressed right away. That was not the issue though. I have a Maltese and Shih Tzu mixed puppy who is approximately 4 months old. The groomer (Rachel) and I discussed keeping her fluffy with a small trim, nothing too short. The groomer kept calling her a he, even after being corrected throughout our conversation. I allowed them to take her anyways and was told that it would take 3-4 hours for her to be done. Upon, receiving my dog I noticed that not only was she not fluffy she also looked like a completely different dog. Her hair was the length of a pug puppy. Not at all what we discussed. When I asked Rachel what happened to her being fluffy in a very rude tone she said, "well it's a little too late for that now". I was a little taken back by the statement because this is your job and you should take caring for someone's dog very seriously. I requested to talk to the general manager because Rachel's behavior was unacceptable. The general manager had the same attitude towards the situation as if it were okay for me to have a totally different dog. The general manager resulted in giving me a free haircut but what good is that going to do. I refuse to shop at this petco ever again. The service here was terrible and quite frankly I could have done a better job myself.
