  • I won't bore you with the details about what you already know about a Courtyard. In many ways they are all the same, so I'll cut to the chase. The rooms are as expected and you don't hear hallway voices. Check in staff is pleasant. Regular crowd at the Market Cafe at night. It's PA so if you get there after closing there's no beer or wine for sale with the chips and water. What I really liked is the lights over the bed. Aside from the light on either side of the bed, there were also lights in the ceiling above the pillows with a switch next to the bed. This was very handy for reading - I picked up a book at the airport. Also there was a switch for the hallway light, the light by the door. I thought this was very helpful as often time I wander around debating what light to leave on in case I get up in the middle of the night and need to find my way in the dark in an unfamiliar setting. The sleep button on the remote and therefore the sleep timer on the TV is inaccessible. Is this the most fragile button on a remote? 1 out of 25 hotel rooms in my experience have a working sleep button. Also, what do people do with the electrical sockets? Think about how long you've lived somewhere - did a socket every get so loose that a plug doesn't stay in? But my room was an exceptional treat. Only the sockets on the desk lamp worked. Even in the bathroom the socket couldn't hold on to the hair dryer plug. It is mind boggling what abuse travelers must put these sockets through. I would definitely stay here again. Good location is this is the area of Pittsburgh you're looking to be in. Really impressed with the upbeat staff.
