| - If you like California fare AND California attitude, this is the place for you.
The food is pleasantly above average, and the creative sandwiches, salads, and pizzas make for nice, if somewhat pricey, lunches.
The atmosphere is transplanted directly from southern California, down to the plush seat cushions, use of authentic and fake plants, and quantity of hair gel atop employees' noggins. However, the staff behaves in an overtly pretentious manner. Ask any specific questions and you will expose their lack of knowledge of the True Food menu. The hostess staff seem to take pleasure in making diners wait for a table. Folks, it's Phoenix, and it's decent, but not spectacular food.
If you have ever been to Century City in Los Angeles and enjoy that kind of atmosphere, then True Food is for you.
