We were looking forward to trying the new The Buffet at Wynn after hearing raves, but we were quite disappointed. We had dinner on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving which meant there was an uncharge for a "holiday week" buffet, even though hotel rates make it clear that business is down during the weekdays before the holiday. We didn't let that deter us and hoped for an even better buffet experience. We also added the unlimited drink option for $18 and both ordered the sparkling wine. It was slow to arrive and didn't taste especially good, but we ordered a second round and waited at the table to see what they were pouring. It was J Roget! No wonder it didn't taste great. Quite a disappointment for a high end buffet.
Other than the shrimp, crab legs, and my husband's ribeye, little else was memorable. There seemed to be fewer options for a pescatarian and the desserts seem to have slipped in quality and variety. I hate to say it since I've been a fan and have recommended it for years, but it seems like Wynn has simply decided not to try to compete with the Bacchanal Buffet.
I honestly hope other people have better experiences.
