| - Had a chance to stay here for a few days over an early December weekend. First of all the colors are obviously a big draw and make the pace look exciting and fun from the outside. But what's it like inside?
It feels like an older place inside, the rooms are nice but the walls and windows feel like they've been around and seen a day or two. But it's not battered or beat up, its just got some age behind the veneer.
The staff were fantastic and very friendly and always willing to help.
The food from the restaurant is quite fun, flat bread, cheese plates, guac, all great.
The beds are comfortable, though the bedding is a bit thin and when it's cold you might want for a blanket and not find one. Plenty of pillows and they're comfy. The bathroom was clean the big sink was nice. The shower had no hot water one morning which was a bummer as I waited and waited but never got more than barely lukewarm. So the shower was a bit of a miss.
The desk and chair were good, the WiFi was decent despite the thick walls. The walls did seem hearty which was nice.
It's a nice location and only a block from old downtown which is fun to walk around in the evening.
It seemed very central to a lot of things around Scottsdale and I enjoyed my time and company.
The hot tub jets don't work, and I guess they have not for a while, would have liked for that to have been fixed. The hot tub was nice, but be careful the base of the pool is textured and can scratch and or cause abrasions if hit hard.
