  • We were really happy to see a new sports bar come in to Chandler. However, one visit made us wish we hadn't seen it. On that first visit, we came in after an art auction and wine tasting in downtown Chandler on a Thursday night, and it wasn't particulary busy. The menu looked great, lots of choices, and the food sounded good, but a little pricey. First red flag was the 10 minute wait for a server. When she arrived, she was very nice and helpful. My wife ordered a drink from the bar which she liked. We ordered the onion block as an appetizer. My wife ordered the chicken, sun dried tomato and pesto flatbread and I ordered the meatball pizza. The onion block came out perfectly cooked, with absolutely no taste. The breading was not seasoned, and the meager trickle of chipotle ranch sauce was hard to taste. Between ketchup, salt and asking for more ranch dip, we got it tasting marginal. However, the appetizer came out after 15 minutes, and about 4 minutes before the pizzas - bad timing. We got the pizzas, and they were luke warm. My wife's flatbread had sun dried tomatoes that tasted like they had just come out of a plastic package and were thrown on top of the bread without resonstituting them or any hint of moisture. My pizza had a tasteless marinara and meatballs that tasted like green peppers and fresh out of a frozen bag. To add to our wonderful experience, that night there was a guitar/bass singing duo that gave us both headaches and forced several patrons outside on a cold night because they were so loud and bad, and seemed to get louder and badder as their set went on. $54 later and overall, a horrible first/last experience at Coach and Willies. Zipp's, we'll be back next time!!
