| - I wish all car dealerships were like Bill Luke Fiat! I had visited a few dealerships with my male significant other and the salespeople seems to address him and not me, even though *I* was buying the car. I made the mistake of going to another dealership solo and was talked down to, they spoke to me like I didn't know my own budget, they pressured me, and were overall really rude and inconsiderate, even making fun of the fact that I was getting input from my significant other!
Going to Bill Luke Fiat alone, I was prepared to be harassed and patronized. I put on my game face. Soon, I realized that I didn't need my game face because the people at Bill Luke weren't trying to hassle a woman buying a car on her own! This is exactly how everyone should be treated when buying a car: with respect, courtesy, and understanding.
The gentleman I was emailing with wasn't able to meet me at the dealership then evening we planned, but two other associates explained that he had to leave (as I was running behind) but they would be happy to assist me. Jorge Diaz welcomed me to test drive all the cars I cared to and didn't act annoyed or irritated. He was helpful and personable. I think making a friendly connection really helped me trust him and feel more comfortable with the whole process.
Yes, buying a car is stressful and a very long process. Bill Luke Fiat and Jorge really made it as painless as possible. I believe I spent 5 hours at Bill Luke Fiat and wasn't feeling rushed and I definitely didn't dread being there. Jorge and the other associates that helped me were patient and didn't mind explaining and answering all of my questions.
Financing is always complicated. One of the finance guys helped me agree on a monthly payment and worked with the lenders to match my payment goal. I wasn't pushed in to agreeing to a payment I wasn't comfortable with. They were able to trade in my little beat up car and negotiated a trade in value that I appreciated. They spoke clearly and explained everything so I could understand what was happening, unlike my last car buying experience where I was so rushed I wasn't even sure what all had happened.
In the end, Jorge and Bill Luke Fiat went out of their way and went above and beyond any car buying experience I could have imagined. I love my Fiat 500L. I love Bill Luke Fiat. And I wish all dealerships were Bill Luke Fiats and were full of Jorges.
No haggle. No arm twisting. No intimidating. No pressure.
Thank you all so, so much for making my experience so awesome. Thank you for being so accommodating to my off the wall questions. It's hard for a woman to deal with car issues and you guys restored my faith in humanity.
