It pains me to write an average review since I was tremendously excited to try Bacchanal for the first time but, at least for the brunch, it left me feeling meh.
I got there around 10am on a Friday for the weekday brunch, paid the $39.99, and it was smooth sailing to my table. Then it was time to scope out the offerings and see what I could fit into my empty stomach.
I tried every station from the seafood station, to the meat station, to the Asian station, and even had room for some gelato. Rum raisin gelato to be exact. But nothing really wowed me like I thought it would. There were some disappointing dishes. The lobster benedict didn't have lobster meat incorporated, just a lobster sauce on top of the benedict. The meatballs were way too dense and heavy. The red velvet pancakes were very dry.
The service was excellent though as they cleared my empty plates when I sought out to get more food. Overall, the food was average for brunch. Perhaps the impressive dishes are saved for the dinner service. I'm willing to give dinner a try the next time I'm in Vegas.
