MUNDO ROCKS!
I've been to Mundo a few times now, solo at the bar and at a table with a date. I love it. The chef "gets it" Every entry and side has full, bold developed flavors. Nothing bombastic, cloying or un-necessary. I guess you'd call the food "New Latin". Whatever you call it, it's delicious. My recent date and I likened it to great italian food - top notch ingredients presented in a way that balances and showcases at the same time. I've had a few different appetizers, all generous and delish. A few stand out mains were the Shrimp Diablo- nice heat, complex flavor, good size fresh perfectly cooked shrimp, Wygu skirtr steak - just amazing, and a perfectly seasoned and cooked filet mignon. The Spinach side with chili and onion is excellent. The atmosphere is casual/chic, the room is pretty and comfortable and the service is smooth and gracious. I highly recommend Mundo.
