| - I found a bedbug in the sheets.
It was a dead, smushed one, but I found it to be rather alarming.
The location has its pluses and minuses. It's in close proximity to the stadium here. walking distance from the Charlotte Dome, where Elvis once played. They have a parking garage that was closed and being remodeled when we came. But it appears that they will have ample parking.
The elevators are a bit on the scary side. They don't stop at the floors you want them to, and we often found people riding the elevators up and down trying to get to their floor, and ending up giving up and taking the stairs when the elevator refused to stop at the right floor.
Our room was positioned next to a dying smoke detector that beeped every thirty seconds. It was in one of the other rooms, so I had no access to it to be able to smash it, or take the battery out.
I enjoyed how they have a price list for everything in the room, so if you go on some sort of rampage, you know exactly how much everything costs when you destroy it, or steal it. They've got their eyes on you!
The hotel is quite loud. It's positioned right next to the freeway, so you hear traffic noise all the time. The windows are rather thin, and the place is noisy.
There was ample parking, but that's because we were one of about 10 people staying here. The place is rather difficult to access, since it just has an entrance right on the freeway. In order to pull out of the parking lot, you have to pull onto the freeway and immediately floor it to get up to speed. It's quite dangerous.
The hotel management seems to have some sort of vegan agenda, with signs reminding us to be green and vegan. WTF? I came to Charlotte for the BBQ, not the greens.
I wouldn't stay here again. We had to segregate all of our clothes, and put them in quarantine to make sure we didn't bring back any bedbugs.
