My boyfriend and I were referred to Le Comptoir on a weekend trip to Montreal. The small restaurant has a wonderfully local feel and a very comfortable but lively ambiance. We had the small charcuterie plate to start, and octopus with chorizo and chicken manicotti for entrees. I would not even order octopus in many of my dining experiences, since it has to be prepared just right. This was an incredible meal and the octopus was prepared perfectly!
