| - Just to start off nice atmosphere inside and out, that's what drew us to the place. We didn't check yelp before, but we should have! 3 stars...I know this place isn't vegetarian friendly, obviously, but when I ordered the grilled cheese (without bacon) and the tomato soup....tomato soup shouldn't have a piece of meat in it...honestly it wasn't very good at all. I could go home and make a killer grilled cheese myself and a heat up a can of tomato soup and it would have tasted better than what we got. I'm a believer in, if you put something on your menu then it should be good at least, not just edible. There was nothing special about it. When I mentioned the piece of meat in the soup to the waitress she didn't even say sorry just said "okay" or offer a replacement but I asked for fries instead. Fries were alright, but I wanted a grilled cheese and tomato soup damnit! Lol. How does a piece of meat get into a tomato soup? Anyway...my boyfriend wanted to talk to the manger about the soup because I really didn't care for my meal and it was taken off the bill, which was very nice of him and he apologized. I appreciate that. He also confirmed its a vegetable base. He seemed to have knowledge of the piece of meat already, which seemed suspect haha. My boyfriend said the beer he got was alright, but seemed kind of flat. He also didn't care much for the grilled cheese or soup. It looked good, just didn't taste good. And I had to flag down our waitress for the check. So I'm sure there are other things good on the menu, but a piece of meat in a tomato soup. What's going on back there?
