  • Go to Diamond Cleaners instead. I had the waist taken in on some jeans here, and the owner did them perfectly. I was very happy with the results so I brought in two more pairs to have the exact same thing done. This time it wasn't the owner that tailored them. They gave me specific dates and times to pick them up, but neither pair was actually ready when I went to pick them up. They were either still in progress, needed to be fitted again because she hadn't done it correctly the first time, or were just done poorly and needed to be re-done. When they were finally "ready" to be picked up, both pairs came back significantly shorter in the legs as a result of how she took in the taint/butt region, whatever that's actually called. She had no idea how this could have happened, which indicates to me that she is very inexperienced, so I explained it to her and showed her and she said, "Oh yes those will be shorter now, but how is the fit?" The fit, of course, was incorrect because the jeans were shorter than they used to be, which was not what I asked for. But she said there was nothing she could do about the length and just kept asking me about the "fit," which, in her opinion, doesn't include length apparently. Since both of them had failed to mention that their work on the waist was going to affect the length, I asked for a refund but she said I'd have to come back some other time for that. Her reply about not being able to fix them further indicated her lack of experience, because once I took the jeans over to Diamond Cleaners she immediately said she could fix them. I've had nothing but good experiences with Diamond Cleaners, and I will not be going back to Golden Thread. I advise you to save your money and TIME and stay away from Golden Thread as well, they don't actually know what they're doing there.
