| - I've never had such an AWFUL experience at a salon until this one. A company who claims they put customer service first and has exceptional quality of services. Well, I got the complete opposite of just that.
My boyfriend was kind enough to purchase my first set of extensions for me. I set up a consultation and was required to fill out a piece of paper for what I wanted for record. I told my stylist that I'm unhappy with my hair color at the moment and that this will not be the color to match me to. She shows me the swtatches and I pick out which one will most likely be my hair color. After getting it colored elsewhere, I go back to the salon for a RECOLOR MATCH just to make sure she purchased the right one. She thanked me for coming back and reassured me that the color was spot on. Come appointment day, she starts putting the extensions in my hair. Immediately I noticed the HUGE color differnece between my hair and the extensions. So much that I even have the nerve to say, "So, I'm getting an ombré?" She asked me if it was OK. Of course I said yes. 1) it was my birthday 2) she already had half of them in my hair at this point. Upon putting them in I noticed the hair had a TON of split ends. I asked her if she'll be cutting these off. Did no one think too look before ordering these? After about a week of having them in, I couldn't take it anymore. The gap between my black shoulder length hair and my ash brown extensions was so large it was embarrassing. As if I put my clothes on in the dark. I called the salon and told them I was so unhappy with the color that it didn't match my hair at all. I went in the next day where they offered to gloss my hair with color. What really pissed me off is that my own stylist was not qualified to mix color so she had to grab another employee who was with a client to do it for her.
The color came out great and I was peachy for 6 weeks. After the 6 weeks I scheduled a remove and replace to reuse the extensions.
I sat in the salon chair for 2 1/2 hours trying to take them out. Her co worker came over a little frantic because my stylist was 45 minutes late for her next client. While my stylist went to reconcile, the co worker took a break from HER client to try and remove my extensions in which she told me "wow, I would have told you to wait 8 weeks, they're still pretty high up" My stylist comes back and has the audacity to ask me to come back laer at 4... and then TUESDAY. It's Saturday in which I had a dinner, a Christmas party the next night and a flight I had to catch for a vacation to California with. I agree to Tuesday before I had to catch a flight.
This morning I get a call to come in today in the Arrowhead location which is 45 MINUTES out of my way. That my stylist will be there. Why would they make me go over there? For what reason? I finally call the store after thinking about it where I talk to Connie. She proceeds to tell me that an instructor will be there with my stylist.... which is saying that my stylist was not qualified to do my extensions in the first place???
I drive ALL the way to arrowhead. I'm about to lose it at this point. I was greated by my stylist for her to say "I'm NOT FINISHED taping the extensions so feel free to walk around AJ's until I'm done."
It's noon. It's not 7am. You had ALL MORNING to get this done and they're not finished? After everything that happened? I get in my car, I drive away and call Connie balling my eyes out telling this exact story. Being a decent human being I still offered to pay for the removal of my extensions on Saturday because I told them to keep the hair, I'm done. My card number was taken and that I would receive a call before the card was ran and that she would talk to a few people about this experience. I would never recommend this salon at all.
