| - I have never made a review before, but my experience here is so bad I felt compelled to make a Yelp account JUST to warn others about this hotel. Please heed this review.
I am an avid traveler. I stay in hotels regularly and travel often. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever experienced staying in within Southern Ontario.
I will try to keep this brief, despite the numerous problems with this hotel.
1-When I arrived they couldn't find my reservation. That took 20 minutes of me standing in the lobby, already exhausted from my flight, for them to finally admit it was a system "glitch" and they finally gave me my room.
2-The internet is terrible/non-existent. They claim to provide "free high-speed" internet. This is a straight up lie. First, the internet only works sporadically, and when you finally are able to connect, they only have speeds up 1.87 Mbps download / 4 Mbps upload speed. If you work with large files online or need quick internet, this is NOT the hotel for you. Let me continue.
3-There is no restaurant. You read that right. There. Is. No. Food. Hungry from your long trip? Sorry! Feel free to take an Uber or taxi 10 minutes away to the closest grocery store. Better hope there's no traffic!
4-They have a "convenience store" downstairs, which is just a filthy fridge beside the front desk, half stocked, with Gatorade and bottles of Pure Life water, which, by the way, they charge $2.50 a bottle for. They don't even provide water for their guests without charging.
5-There is no working gym. Into fitness? Sorry! Good luck staying with your fitness goals.
6-This one is just ridiculous but I had to mention it because it just paints a broader picture of this place. I went to the ice and vending machine room, which I found as it has a big sign that labels it as such on it. Guess what! They don't exist. It's literally an empty room with dirty sockets in the wall.
7-Elevators don't work properly. Takes 10 tries of pushing your floor before it works. And they're filthy.
8-The premises is a pig sty. Period.
9-Staff is snarky when you ask them questions. I will say the man who helped me himself was quite nice (unhelpful, but nice). But his colleague was snarky and short with me.
10-The only good thing about this place is my room was clean. That's literally the only positive.
In summary, this place is a nightmare. It is NOT as advertised at all. As I travel for business I had a company book this hotel for me, so I don't know how much the rooms are, but I don't care if they were free I wouldn't ever stay here again.
I can only assume this place is DEEPLY discounted and extremely cheap. If not, find literally any other hotel and save yourself the headache. If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would.
