I had an out of province inspection done on my car from BC at Kensington Auto and was less than impressed with the customer service I received. When I dropped off my car the man I dealt with (who was not a mechanic) was a total grump. I was told to drop off my car in the morning when it was convenient and I didn't get there until 10am. The man seemed annoyed but begrudgingly told me they'd call me when it was done. I had a voicemail in the early afternoon saying my car was done and I could pick it up at my convenience - the message was clearly left by someone other than the man I dealt with because he sounded pleasant. When I picked up my car, however, it was unfortunately the same bitter man I had dealt with before. I had driven a car2go there to pick up my car and parked it in the parking lot. The man told me I couldn't leave it parked in the parking lot which I understood and said I would move it. When I went to move the car2go it had been reserved by another car2go customer and I was unable to get back into the car. I informed the man of this but told him that reservations are only good for 30 minutes so someone would be there within the next half an hour to move it. Somehow he didn't understand and said "If you don't move the smart car, I'm having it towed." It took several minutes of me explaining that I was locked out of the car and him threatening to tow it, when he said "they have 30 minutes to pick it up." Something I had been telling him the whole time. As far as I'm concerned, the mechanics did a good job and seemed pleasant in their voicemails. I won't be returning to Kensington Auto because of the terrible customer service I received from a grumpy old gas station attendant.
