  • Buyer beware. We bought a great house from DR Horton in 2009. In 2018 we discovered that the sewer backed up due to an incorrectly installed sewer pipe that back flowed occasionally into the house. The pipe had a belly under the clear outs that were also installed incorrectly. It also had two 90 degree turns and ran uphill slightly for 10 feet, all of which caused the periodic back flow. I've got lots of pictures. We were told repeatedly by several different plumbing companies that the belly and grease being put down the system was the cause and there was nothing to be done except jet it out occasionally. Well they were all wrong. Jetting only cleared the pipe but didn't fix the backflow. The guys at Best Plumbing discovered the true causes and corrected the problems. The folks at DR Horton refused to honor any warranty because of the age of the house but they built it and it was defective.
