  • Our experience with Adams has been far from good- I feel one star is generous. To make this review as through as possible I will begin with: the company's owner Shane is friendly and good with potential customers. Their attention and immediate response team is well in the beginning hours following flooding (disaster etc) BUT then everything changes and goes way way way downhill, ultimately hults. I was hesitant to even use the company due to their reviews and prior experience from others as I tend to review company's and their BBB etc before selecting them. The only reason we used Adams in the beginning was due to the fact they were personally referred by a plumbing company we had used and was phenomenal the whole way through. After the initial visit I had to contact the company each and EVERY time I needed communication aside from 2 phone calls I received over the time span of 7 weeks!!! One call came from a person checking on their equipment and wanted to pick up the machines. The other call didn't have the correct customer!!! They were speaking to me about someone else's home and repairs!! From the very beginning I explained the importance of needing to make things happen as quickly as possible since we are a family of 6 and our only 2 bathrooms were now out of commission. AGAIN, I would like to stress the importance of me having to call the company we were paying to fix our flooding issues everytime to see where we were at, what the next step was, & when we should expect someone. Often when I would call the office Nicole would answer and say, "I'll need to look into it and get back to you." I would never receive a return call. This company has left me hanging the whole way through. To add to the disaster.. the company took a price of our tile to send out for an ITEL report which in turn notifies you and your insurance company if your tile flooring is matchable from replacement. I was told this takes 7-10 days. Well long after that time period (greater than 30days at this point) I take it upon myself to contact ITEL directly. They notify me that they have not received ANYTHING!!!! I contact Adams and they say there still isn't anything nor do they have a tracking number for shipment AND they don't have my tile they took from our home! So needless to say, our flooding occured Dec 16th 2017, the company quickly removed everything and placed fans. Took a piece of our tile on Dec 23, 2017 and when I continually contacted them until the week of Jan 15, 2018 with nothing being done, no contact on their behalf I called and cancelled all services with them. Additionally, up until this point there were no invoices or estimates provided to myself nor my insurance adjuster (whom had requested on 2 occasions) from Adams. Once I cancelled all services they sent an invoice to my insurance company with no contact or information given to myself. Thankfully, my insurance company deposited the funds to me directly. Once I finally received an invoice for services it was almost $500 more than the insurance paid. I contacted my insurance company and they advised me to ONLY pay what they deposited and nothing more. With that I contacted Adams and asked about the difference in charges/invoices. They said they would correct the invoice to match what the insurance reemburced. The final touch is.......... I had to contact this company DAILY for any information!!!! Once the insurance deposited the funds for payment Annette from Admas contacted me DAILY and on a few occasions 2-3 times per day for payment!!! Not only is Adams capable of contacting their customers daily or multiple times per day!! this just proves to me they chose NOT to do that and instead leave my family of 6 with no bathroom, laundry room etc for more than 7 weeks. I will NEVER use Adams nor recommend them to anyone.
