  • I went to Carlson Creek with my boyfriend and his uncle last weekend for a tasting. We haven't tried any local Arizona wines and kept our expectations low, but were so pleasantly surprised. I'm not much of a red wine fan so I sampled all four of the white wines and had an extra sample of the Riesling for my 5th. The pours were very generous so a tasting of 5 for $10 is a deal. They also let you keep the nice wine glasses for no additional cost! Wendy was so sweet and also offered to let me revisit another one for free so I had a little more. Wendy was also so patient with us and our limited wine knowledge and explained everything about each wine, which I appreciated. I loved all four of the wines, especially the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. There was a 2 for 1 special on bottles Sauvignon Blanc so I got two bottles of that and a bottle of Riesling. Since I bought two full priced bottles, my tasting was comped which was awesome. My boyfriend and his uncle each tried all of the reds and one white each and were mostly pleased with them, with preference for some over others. Overall, I loved it and would definitely go back for another tasting for fun. I'm going to crack open my first bottle of Sauvignon Blanc tonight and can't wait!
