Just experienced the most slimy retail encounter I can remember. Two salespeople teamed up to try to convince me their old stock of mifi jetpacks were the latest version (and tried to sell it to me at a greatly inflated price), despite my using the internet (a tool they foolishly expect their clients don't know how to use) to prove otherwise. They then claimed they had what I proved to be the newest one, but the ones they were showing me were even newer (2 weeks for mine, 2 years or more for theirs).
When I insisted that my internet-supported data was accurate they then claimed they didn't know anything about the model. Either incompetent (distinctly possible) or overtly deceptive (even more likely).
Caveat emptor.
