Another new brewery- this time on the west side. Like most of our new breweries the design is sparse and industrial. This would be more pleasing if it were not lodged in a suburban strip mall. There are a couple TVs on the wall but it's not a sports bar. There is a shelf of board games but it isn't a cozy place I can see spending hours at. Overall, it just generally feels empty and like something is missing.
We got the sampler (4 oz. of each beer available) shoved in a cake tin in no designated order. It became a bit of a guessing game. I can't understand why any breweries sell flights without some way of letting the customer now which beer is which...Anyway, it actually telling that some of the beers were not easily discernable (is the this the APA or session IPA or blonde ale)? Across a range of styles represented, all were unremarkable with a couple bordering on amateur status. The red ale was sorta ok and the chocolate stout was decent (but not something sessionable or pleasing in the summer). Prices were reasonable but not inexpensive for the area.
With no food service or much else interesting, I suspect they will have a tough go of it. I like to support local businesses when possible, but there are just too many better beer bar options these days.
