  • To start, they bring you out fresh baked bread with garlic and olive oil for dipping - our bread was slightly undercooked but it is by far the best bread we've been served at a restaurant in Vegas so far. We got the Sicilian Eggplant Appetizer - definitely a PASS. Terribly mushy and nothing like delicious Sicilian eggplant we've had in the past. The salad that came with my dinner was a large helping and good. For entrees, I got the Chicken Angelo and my husband got a personal size pepperoni and pepper pizza. Both were VERY good. My chicken was tender and the wine sauce was delicious. My husband's pizza was thin, crispy and cooked perfectly. The rating really goes down a star because of the service. The kitchen was almost chaotic and there weren't many people in the restaurant yet. We could hear the chef in the back BEATING the heck out of my chicken - it was very loud, went on for quite a while and made it a little awkward in the dining area for the patrons trying to carry on conversations. My dinner came out not too long after the beating stopped, so that's how we deciphered it was actually my chicken (which was very good, but my goodness!). My dinner also came out long before my husband's and we could see the waiter standing by the oven cooking the pizza. I guess because we ordered such different items it happened that way? The other 2 tables in the restaurant both had their orders screwed up. One table behind us had their food come out immediately after they were brought their salad - they were at a small 2-person table that only fits 1 dish each so they immediately handed up their salads and said, "I guess we won't be needing these anymore!" Also, as a final note, the ambience is a little overdone. At first, it seems like a nice dimly lit place but then when you try to read the menu, it's pretty ridiculous. The menu you see on their website is the same menu they give you in print - a fancy designed tan background with somewhat small print. We both found it REALLY hard to read in the dim light and we both have perfect reading vision. Overall, it was OK but we won't be back with so many other choices for Italian food in the area.
