| - I have lived here for about a year. I originally moved into a Studio loft, but I could not get my bed up the spiral staircase, so I moved into an apartment with a lake view.
The view of the lake is awesome. You can't beat the location. If you are trying to get a girlfriend and you played magic the gathering in school instead of lifting weights, just get an apartment here and have soft music queued up and you are good to go.
Depending on the girl, I recommend either Careless Whisper by George Michael, or Bump N' Grind by R. Kelly. Trust me I am a level 10 pick up artist.
I don't know what the other people are talking about on here, but so far, the management has been very friendly and helpful. I know they changed management companies around the time I moved in (1 year ago from the posting of this review), so that might have something to do with it.
While the rent is not cheap, I think it's a fair price. It's cheaper than W7 (which does not have a lake view) and more spacious.
The noise level in both apartments (each in separate buildings) was fine. It's very quiet during the weekdays. It can get noisy around midnight on weekends after people come home from mill, but they have security that walks the hallways before it gets out of control.
I would give this place 5 stars, but I have had internet related issues at both apartments.
While the internet and cable are included in the rent price, they go through a company called Pavlov. No, that is not a medical condition. It is their exclusive internet service provider and It's the only provider you can go through for both internet and cable (which they resell to direct-tv)
If you normally buy cable, it's a good deal. I usually stick with Netflix myself.
The internet is so so. Fast speeds, but the stability can be inconsistent.. It's frustrating, but seems to be improving. The support is outsourced, but generally friendly and helpful. Definitely not a top tier internet provider though. When I first moved in a year ago, the internet would suddenly not work for hours at a time multiple times a week. Now, I usually have a short problem once every week or two.
It really is a beautiful area - especially at night. If you are on the fence, come check things out - at night - near the lake. This place is perfect for biking and jogging. The cab to mill is about 7$. Not bad if that's your thing.
