  • I think I probably just had a really bad experience here as a first timer. I ordered gumbo which was OK (I still prefer the oyster bar at palace or Texas station) and a combo platter that consists of fried catfish, fried shrimps, fried oysters, and crab cake for $25. I only ate the 2 shrimps and one fried oyster. The crab cake was fishy and the catfish tasted like dirt off the ground and I'm not really into that. I figured I could ask for some lemon and squeeze onto my crab cake to kill some of the fishy taste and next thing you know...the guy took out a container of lemon and DUG UNWASHED BARE HIS HAND INTO IT to get me my lemons. Can somebody say "HEALTH CODE VIOLATION?!"...boy like I'm going to be using those lemons now...meaning, I just paid and left with a full plate of food on the table. SERVICE: I'd give this place a 2 star for service. They were not very attentive to our party and they forgot our side twice. Maybe it was an off day for them, but the food and the service wasn't appealing enough for me to even remotely want to go back there again.
