| - I'd been to Delux a few times in the past few years for dinner, and liked it. I hadn't been back for a while, so I'm not sure if there was a change in the kitchen, or management, or what, but when I returned there recently for dinner we were really disappointed. The service was incredibly slow, we were seated at the bar before getting a table, which is fine, but it took like 20 min to get our drink order, and then another 10 to bring it to us (And it wasn't a complicated order). When we were seated, I asked about the fish, which was one of the mains, and was told it was a regular fish, not seafood, but when the dinner came (and we waited about half an hour at least for that), there were mussels served with the fish. NO mention of this on the menu, or from the server. When we asked one of the servers why it was there, when there is no mention of it he just kind of wriggled around and defensively said "what do you want us to do about it?" and "well we don't list everything on the menu" ... um yeah, something like that, to which people might have allergies or dietary restrictions, you list. He then came back later and said they were changing the menu the next day. Dessert was cookies, which were like immediately out of the oven, and as my lawyer friend said, liability hot. Service in general was pretty poor. Our used dishes were left on the table for way too long, service was beyond slow (and clearly unhelpful) and when calmly questioned about the food, defensive and bordering on rude. Our main waiter was also clearly unhappy, commenting on how he'd rather not be there. I totally understand, many times I'd rather not be at work either, but when you're working as a server in a not cheap restaurant, it's probably best not to let the paying customer in on it.
And the food wasn't that good.
