| - Originally had brunch reservations at a lively spot in the hotel but after a long night I was over people I wanted chill, mellow and to sit in a corner and blend into the wall, thank you Grand Lux! Now let's get serious, crab and asparagus omelette was okay, crab was flavorful "topped with hollandaise sauce" well thats technically true although it's a spoonful on the center. Chicken and waffles, the chicken was delicious but the waffle batter tasted strange so we ignored the waffle. I ordered turkey sausage and was informed they only have turkey sausage with mango, I hate mango but ordered it. The sausage was not bad just a hint of sweetness. Beignets obviously the highlight of the meal! I should have stuck to that. Huevos Rancheros, the only positive I will say is I liked the crispy fried tortilla and the eggs were good. The ranchero sauce it is served with in the bottom of the dish just makes it soggy and awkward not a fan! Service was okay, with three entrees just wasn't over the moon for any of them. So round 2 at Grand Lux, first of all the service was very good friendly and efficient (the reason for my three stars. On vacation after another long night I wanted to order something I don't order at home. Biscuits and Gravy, so their version came on top of seasoned potatoes so win win! Okay the plate arrived with meatball sized biscuits that looked as though they had been coated with a pastry brush with gravy then dry on the inside. Honestly CSI Las Vegas could barely find Gravy if I brought it to their lab. The egg was good and there was a thin layer of Gravy on the bottom under the potatoes which all it accomplished was to make them soggy. I didn't say anything because at this point I was done, tag me out done!
