  • I was contacted by one of Randstad's recruiters, Aamna, in response to a position I had applied for. She made an appointment for me to come in and discuss my qualifications and employment goals. We had what I originally thought was a productive conversation, she let me know about a few clients she was working with that she felt I would fit well with, and she told me she would get back to me with more details. I left that meeting feeling confident and no more than a couple hours later, Aamna called me to let me know about position that had just opened up that she felt I was perfect for. And that's the last I ever heard from her. None of my emails were ever returned, there was no followup, and all communication stopped dead. Aamna essentially became a ghost. I get the impression that the recruiters at this agency aren't serious about their jobs or actually placing people with employers. In general they seemed fairly lazy, immature, and altogether not actually interested in their jobs. Which is frustrating considering how many postings they have on every available job board. My experience with Randstad in general and Aamna in particular was incredibly disappointing and I would advise anyone considering working with this agency to save themselves the time and just apply to positions directly through company sites.
