I stopped by here this past Saturday evening with my fiance and another couple for dinner. We ended up arriving right around 6:30 and were told that there would be a 40 minute wait for our table. After the hostess took down our phone number my fiance and I headed over to their picnic area to hang out. After only a 20 minute wait or so we received a text message that our table was ready. So we headed over to the hostess station and followed the hostess to our designated table which was still full of dirty dishes. After another few minutes of waiting our table was finally ready for us. We ended up being seated over the patio overlooking the picnic area. This is one place where Narcisi really shines as their grounds and outdoor seating is absolutely beautiful.
After sitting down and waiting for about 15 minutes, our waitress finally arrived at our table. My fiance and I decided to split a bottle of their traminette while our table ordered a zucchini fritti to share. At the same time we ordered our entrees and I chose the Shrimp & Lobster Arrabiata while my fiance went with the Salmon Entree. After only a short wait our wine and appetizer made it to the table. The zucchini Fritti were basically fried zucchini straws topped with some Parmesan and it came with a side of marinara. The zucchini ended up being fried nicely and combined with the Parmesan cheese tasted really good. Our wine was also pretty good but we knew that having been here before and tasting some of the wines. After quite a long wait (~1 hour) our entrees were finally served to us. My Shrimp and Lobster Arrabiata was over a bed of capellini and had a couple of nice sized shrimp as well as a few decent sized pieces of lobster. Both the lobster and the shrimp were cooked nicely and I was pleasantly surprised that the sauce had as much of a kick to it as it did which made it even more enjoyable to me. Overall the food ended up being pretty good and completely erased the opinions of my first visit which were that the food was decent but overpriced. After finishing our meals, we had another somewhat long wait before paying our check. Normally this wouldn't be too big of a problem since the restaurant and winery itself are beautiful and you can enjoy your wine while enjoying the view. However we were looking at going elsewhere after dinner and so our two hour long dinner for appetizer and entrees seemed a bit slow to us.
The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Their food seems to be much better than the last time that I visited and its really nice to be able to enjoy a bottle of wine and take in the scenery at the same time.
