Probably the most unique restaurant I have eaten at in Madison. Basically the first floor of someone's house with a few community tables and three mini barstools overlooking the street. As nearly everyone has said, this place is cozy.
As far as the food is concerned: I can confirm it is good! Those cottage cheese pancakes have notoriety for a reason... Super light and fluffy, with a slight tartness only enhanced by the raspberry preserves. They allow for half orders, so I opted for a half order of the plain buttermilk and half cottage cheese. For $8 I thought it was a very reasonable taste of the breakfast menu. I preferred the cottage cheese pancakes due to their uniqueness, but the buttermilk cakes were really tasty as well.
The service is yet another high point: really friendly and welcoming folks working the register and cooking. They treat you like you are walking into their home, and seem to take pride in their food and service.
Overall just a great place for an early weekend breakfast or late lunch. Only reason this place isn't higher ranked on Yelp is the lack of hours and seating. Loved it!
